Universal Remote Hub – Privacy Policy

BONVIE (“BONVIE”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates Universal Remote Hub, a mobile application for controlling compatible devices and discovering devices on a local network.

1. Information handled by Universal Remote Hub

Universal Remote Hub does not require you to create an account or submit your name, address or profile information to BONVIE.

• Local network and device information: the app may use local network information, device addresses, network details and compatible-device information to discover and communicate with supported devices.
• Saved devices and preferences: saved devices, favourites and app preferences may be stored locally on your device.
• Remote commands: commands are used to communicate with compatible devices on your local network. BONVIE does not operate a server that stores your remote-control commands.

2. Advertising and Google services

Universal Remote Hub uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and consent management where required.

Depending on your device, settings, consent choices and applicable requirements, Google advertising services may process information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, advertising or app-related identifiers, interactions with advertising or the app, and diagnostic information. Such information may be used for advertising, analytics, security, fraud prevention and related purposes.

Information handled by Google advertising services is subject to Google's privacy policies and controls. You can manage available privacy and advertising choices through your device and the consent options presented in the app.

3. How we use information

Information handled by the app is used to provide device discovery, remote-control functionality, saved-device features, app preferences, advertising and related technical functions.

4. Sharing

BONVIE does not sell your personal information. Third-party service providers, including Google advertising services, may process information where necessary to provide advertising, consent management, analytics, security or technical functionality.

5. Data retention and deletion

Information stored locally by Universal Remote Hub remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. BONVIE does not maintain a separate account database for Universal Remote Hub.

Information processed by Google advertising services is subject to Google's retention and deletion practices.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information used by the app. Network communications with supported devices also depend on the security of your local network and those devices.

7. Children

Universal Remote Hub is not directed specifically at children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the app, services or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
